US 31 has long been a critical component in Indiana's transportation system. But heavy use and growth along the route are taking their toll. In just a few years, US 31 will no longer provide the mobility to move our industrial products, enable home-to-work commutes and allow movement of our farm products to market. That's why the US 31 Coalition, Inc. is working to make US 31 a limited-access, interstate quality, highway from Hamilton County to St. Joseph County.

The US 31 Coalition is a group of citizens, companies, and elected officials who are dedicated to the upgrading of US 31 to a free flowing thoroughfare connecting US 20 in St. Joseph county to I-465 in Marion County. It's membership includes 9 Cities, 6 Counties, and over 25 Companies located in and near the US 31 corridor in northern and central Indiana.
